Aside from the murals that I have created in clinical settings, sometimes a painting or a series of paintings is the correct solution for enlivening a space.

Jefferson Regional Hospital, Pittsburgh

These paintings were commissioned to beautify Jefferson Regional's reception atrium.  The goal was to bring color, vibrancy, and a sense of peace and reflection to the environment.  Inspired by the seasons, the paintings are conceived to be read as a one complete transitioning landscape with a shared organic horizon line.  It is a landscape defined by the elements of earth and water, by light and shadow, and it moves horizontally to create a full seasonal circle by the colorful and impressionistic transitions.
